Sushila Rohit Jyotsna Biren Memorial Trust (commonly known as SRJB Memorial Trust) has been registered under Indian Trust Act at ADSR, Malda Vide regd. no. Book-IV. No.244 Dated 29.11.2011 and started its philanthropic activities.

The first of its activities is economic empowerment of inmates of Malda Correctional Home (Malda Jail) by meeting the both sides (of the local garment manufacturers who need low cost labourers and the prisoners who need regular income for their families, the worst sufferers outside the prison) in win-win situation. This project was started by the then addhyaksha of Ramkrishna Mission Ashram, Malda. After his transfer, this project has been continued till date by this trust and got commendation from every corner vide the news cutting of ‘The Statesman’ and the letter from the I.G. (prison), W.B. The authority has allocated us two rooms inside the JAIL where our project is going on. The Chairperson of the trust Sri Gopal Chandra Sarkar, a banker and social worker. Sri Anjan Kr Das (a member of the Trust) used his expertise in fashion designing in this project. For and on behalf of the trust Sri Gopal Chandra Sarkar (chairman of this trust) has provided training to the new entrepreneurs who deal in solar items under PMEGP in this District arranged by KVIB, Malda.

               The Trust is planning to start 10 vocational courses under NSDC (PMKVY) and or AAJIVIKA Skills. They have planned  to start an Old Age Home at Malda and some other programs which are related to health care of the elderly citizens of the area are already in pipeline.

The main objectives of S.R.J.B Memorial Trust.

To establish educational institution to provide general and technical education.

To impart training in the field of Management, Skill Development, Survey, Planning & Research, Rural Development, Environment and Renewable Energy.

To establish Nursing College, Para- Medical & Medical College and Hospitals.

To establish Vocational and Teachers’ Training Colleges.

To establish old age home, Clinics, Pathological Laboratories, Trauma centre etc.

To work as an institution for poverty alleviation and promoting Self-Help-Group (SHG) , Joint Liability Group (JLG) and other social agencies.

To promote welfare activities for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Minority Communities, Physically & Mentally Challenged Persons, Women & Children.

To collect loans, grants, endowment, aid, donations etc. from Govt. Of India, State Govt,Banks,Financial institutions, individuals, other donor agencies both national & international for implementation of the projects undertaken by the Trust observing necessary formalities as will be applicable from time to time.

To do all such acts, deeds, matters and things as may be deemed incidental or conducive to the forgoing objects.

To work as an agency for advancement in the field of Science, Literature, Arts & Culture, Applied Science & Technology, Bio-Technology, Nano- Technology,Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.

To undertake Health related projects and promote measures and to develop awareness regarding Aids, Thalasemia, Drug Addiction, Drug Abuse, Human Trafficking, Disaster Management .

To rehabilitate persons affected by Natural Calamity or To do any Developmental and Philanthropic Works.
