SRJB Memorial Trust (charitable philanthropic Trust ) is incorporated and registered on 29″ Nov, 2011 at ADSR Malda vide its No. Book-IV-00244. The Chairperson of the trust is a experienced banker cum social worker with vast experience. The trust started its first activity in Malda correctional home to help the inmates so that their families will be benefited. The trust submitted a proposal to the Higher Education council for setting up of a college.

In 2014 the trust started two schools (1) Swami Vivekananda Academy Malda — a Bengali medium school (WBBSE Index No. R1-269) and (b) Sister Nivedita Public School, a English Medium school– following CBSE curriculum (CBSE Affiliation No – 2430217).

The Trust has its registered office at No.1 Govt. Colony, Malda. Total built up area of the trust presently is 25000 sq.ft. Besides one project of setting up of an old age home is in process. The trust intends to set up a District Training Centre at Malda using its present resources including constructed 25000 sq. ft. area with the aid of NSDC.

Besides, the trust has more vacant land to be used for further construction which is to be required in future for extension of the proposed skill development centre under NSDC.

Who We Are

Educational Institution

The Trust has started two schools at Malda, One being bengali medium school Swami Vivekananda Academy (High School), WBBSE Index no R1-269 and the other is English medium(Sister Nivedita Public School, CBSE affiliation no -2430217) following CBSE curriculum in the year 2014. Student strength of those schools is around 530 & 700 respectively within nine and a half years

Employment among the inmates of Correctional Home

The Trust started its activities by providing economic empowerment of inmates of Malda Correctional Home (Malda Jail). The Trust holding this project to date inside the jail where two rooms allotted to us. This project begins by meeting both sides (of the local garment manufacturers who need low-cost laborers and the prisoners who need regular income for their families, the worst sufferers outside the prison) in a win-win situation.

General Degree College

The trust has already submitted a proposal of setting up of general degree college at Malda (name of the proposed college is 'Swami Vivekananda General Degree College' where honours course of 16 subjects will be started at the beginning). The proposal is pending with W.B Higher Education Council.

Skill Development
